Areas of Expertise

Somatic Therapy

Somatic therapy is a body-centered approach to healing that focuses on the connection between the mind and body, using techniques like breathwork, movement, and touch to help release stored trauma and stress. Its benefits include improved emotional regulation, reduced anxiety and PTSD symptoms, and a deeper sense of physical and emotional well-being.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy is a therapeutic approach that views the mind as made up of different "parts," each with its own thoughts, feelings, and roles, and works to help these parts harmonize under the guidance of the core Self. The benefits of IFS include increased self-awareness, healing from trauma, improved emotional balance, and a more compassionate relationship with oneself.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a practical, problem-solving approach that focuses on how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected. By learning to recognize and reframe unhelpful thinking patterns, CBT empowers people to manage challenges more effectively and build healthier mental habits.

My Approach

My Approach

Like you, I too am on my own unique life path and am learning and evolving day by day with still more knowledge and experience to be gained. I believe in a fluid and flexible approach that borrows from traditional talk therapy, integrating somatic practices that explore the effects of trauma and distress within the whole body and finding ways to ground and strengthen from within.

I work with CBT, trauma informed theories and am a big believer in blending meditative and breath work practices into sessions as well as art and other creative processes. I am committed to providing support and empathy to individuals from all backgrounds, embracing diversity and inclusivity in my practice. My passion extends to serving LGBTQ+ individuals, sex workers, survivors of sexual assault, neurodivergent individuals and indigenous communities among others.
